...Even Housemaid To GEJ's Powerful Female Minister Has N2.5b In Her Account - EFCC Reveals

More shocking revelations on how former President Goodluck Jonathan's administration was enmeshed in corruption and laundering of public funds have begun to unfold as a bank account with over N2.5billion opened in the name of a former female minister’s housemaid has been discovered by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

The account was opened by the former influential minister in the name of the housemaid as part of the effort to cover her track, the EFCC investigation has revealed, The Nation Newspaper report.

Despite the account opened in the name of the housemaid, a preliminary investigation has shown that the former minister is the sole signatory to the account, report according to the Nation Newspaper suggests

A highly placed EFCC source said yesterday that she would be brought to justice.

“Our findings indicated that the ex-female minister opened an account in the name of her housemaid and with her photograph. But the signature in the account is that of the ex-minister,” the source said.

“At the time we made the discovery, over N2.5billion was in the account. But the volume of transactions in the account has been huge.

“We are suspecting that the ex-minister did not put the housemaid in the picture of what she wanted to do with her passport photograph.

“We have established that the ex-minister has been drawing funds from the said account. We have retrieved records of all transactions by the ex-Minister. We will soon bring her to justice no matter how long it takes to follow due process.”

Buhari Might Die UNLESS... - Fr. Mbaka

Buhari Might Die UNLESS... - Fr. Mbaka

Reverend Father Ejike Mbaka, the fiery cleric and the Spiritual Director, ‎Adoration Ministry, Enugu Nigeria, AMEN, who predicted that President Muhammadu Buhari would win the 2015 general election has reportedly predicted that the President might not survive the ailment that has befallen him unless if well prayed for

Mbaka made this  made the revelation in one of his Adoration programmes, report according to Daily Post suggests.
The clergyman, according to Daily Post stated that he had made several efforts he made to reach people close to Buhari over the vision had remained unsuccessful as they refused picking his calls.

Prior to the 2015 presidential election, Mbaka had also complained of how he was denied access to former President Goodluck Jonathan.

The controversial priest later gave a New Year message, which was widely believed to have contributed to Jonathan’s defeat in the election.

On Buhari’s ailment, he declared that his chances of recovery may be slim but that with the prayer of the members of the congregation, he would receive healing.

He equally declared that there were some people who were not happy that Buhari was alive.

“Such people hate everything about the President”, he stated, while narrating the vision which he saw before the President’s present trip to London.

According to him, in the vision, the President was critically sick and was being flown abroad for treatment.

“His health was in a bad shape and he was asking that (Fr Mbaka) should pray for him. None among the people I have called, picked my calls.
“People think I speak with Buhari everyday. When people climb into power, they are dazed. It is a long dream. Our job is to pray for him but there are things that he must do and there is no way to communicate it to him”, Fr. Mbaka said.

He, therefore, asked the congregation to stand up and lift their hands up as he began to pray for the health and healing of President Buhari.

The prayer went thus: “We call on Michael the arch angel, Uriel the archangel, Gabriel the archangel to carry you in their wings back to life. They angels are bringing you back in their wings. In Psalm 79:11 the Lord restores those who have already being appointed to die. Are you the one that has been appointed to die? God himself will bring you back to life. Remember His word that when the thief comes to steal, kill you and destroy you, I have come that you may have life and have it more abundantly. Have life now more abundantly in Jesus name Amen.

“We pray for our President and anyone that is suffering such a dangerous disease. We lift our healing hands for divine healing upon our president. Wherever he is, may he be healed in Jesus name Amen.

“The doctors in Nigeria are nursing fear that he may not survive but we have a healing God. His name is specialist in impossibilities. In Mathew 19:26, He can make the impossible, possible. In Mark 10:27 He can make the impossible, possible. In Luke 1:37, He can make the impossible, possible. In Jeremiah 32:17, He can make the impossible, possible. In Job 42:2, He can do all things and no purpose of His can be thwarted. Hallelujah.

“We stretch our hands of healing upon our President and you that may be sick here. I take you as somebody who is as if to say he is dead already. Have they said that you are dead and there is nothing that can be done in your situation? Have your kidney died? Have your liver died? Have your heart or any organ of your body been confirmed dead? Look at what happened in John 11:39. When Jesus asked them to open the tomb of Lazarus, they told him that by now he must be smelling for he was dead for about four days now. After all this, I heard Jesus talking in verse 43 telling Lazarus to come out. Let that thing that is dead come back to life in Jesus name Amen. Let your dead vision come back to life. Let your dead destiny come back to life. Let your dead passion come back to life in Jesus name Amen.

“Whatever is dead in your body should come back to life in Jesus name Amen. Your dead success, come back to life. Your dead business, come back to life. Your dead vocation, come back to life. Your dead gifts come back to life. God will show you the path to life.

“We stand in in Psalm 110:1 where the Lord said to my lord to sit at His right hand and I decree that You shall be the child of the right hand of God of Psalm 17:7, Psalm 31:15, psalm 31:5 and psalm 98:1.

“In the book of Mathew 27 the Bible says that when the blood Jesus dropped and he cried with a loud voice, the veils were torn. As this was happening the tombs opened. I stand in Matthew 27 and minister in verse 53 and 54. When the tomb opened, those who were dead in the tomb came back to life and move about the city. This was because the blood of Jesus dropped on the ground.

“As the blood of Jesus drops on the ground now, anybody here who has been killed and buried in the spirit and is just a moving corpse, let him or her come back to life now in Jesus name Amen. Let your spirit come back to life in Jesus name Amen. Is there any good thing or virtue in our country that has died or occultically being held bounds? I send the Holy Ghost fire upon every temple of Satan that is accommodating any name of the Child of God in Jesus name; Holy Ghost fire. Holy Ghost Fire!!!”

While concluding the prayer, he said “I want the enemies to see our President shining, prospering and moving majestically in glory. The chances of his healing may be little but now with our prayers and faith, the chances of his coming out is high.

“The spiritual energy with which we make this prayer is enormous that it shall do this for us. If you are ready for testimony, my God is ready with miracles.”

Buhari EVIL, But Better Than Jonathan - Balarabe Musa

Buhari EVIL, But Better Than Jonathan - Balarabe Musa

Buhari EVIL, But Better Than Jonathan - Balarabe Musa
A former governor of Kaduna State in the Second Republic, Alhaji Balabe Musa has opined that though President Muhammadu Buhari is a better evil that his predecessor, Goodluck Jonathan.

The former governor in an interview with the New Telegraph lambasted Buhari's style of governance since sworn in over a year ago, describing most of the government policies as rubbish, but avowed that, Buhari was a better evil compare to Jonathan.

The excerpt bellow:

"We supported him in 2003, 2007 and 2011 and we made it quite clear that he posed the least risk. We said that supporting any politician in Nigeria is a great risk because the deciding factor in politics and election in Nigeria is money."
"Therefore supporting anybody is a great risk but in the case of Buhari at that time, supporting him was the least risk we could take. In spite of what I have said, he still remains the least risk. The situation in Nigeria was so desperate that you cannot pin point who was better than Buhari."
"He was better than all those that he contested against in all the elections. Buhari was the better of the two evils, but don’t forget the fact that he was an evil. To tell the truth, the situation in the country was so hopeless that you can’t identify a leader with reasonable risk. In order to correct the situation and chose a leader that can correct the negative state of the nation, we changed the socioeconomic and political system that control all development in the country and the political leadership produced by the system. We had to enthrone a system and leadership based on public interest first and enlightened self interest second."
"This is as opposed to what we have today, where self interest is first and public interest is second or incidental, and we have history to prove this. Untill the military took over in 1966, did we have this hopeless situation that we have today? Did we have a situation whereby anybody can steal any fund and get away with it? I have worked all my life in the finance department since 1953 when I joined the Civil Service."
"Up till 1966, no one could steal a kobo of public fund and get away with it, without being investigated and punished. That was the situation before the army took over in 1966. Since then, if you are the favourite of the president, you can steal one-third of the annual budget, as long as you don’t eat alone, and you will get away with it."

£15m UK Property: Jonathan Reacts

£15m UK Property: Jonathan Reacts

Former President, Goodluck Jonathan has denied owning a £15m property in the United Kingdom and demanded a retraction from the UK SUN over an article by its former Editor, Kelvin Mackenzie, alleging in his Saturday column that the ex-Nigerian leader had bought the property in Surrey.

News Punch among other online news media  had earlier reported that Ex-President Goodluck Jonathan acquired a mansion in the United Kingdon that worths £15million, Kelvin Mackenzie, a Journalist with The Sun Uk Newspaper reported yesterday on page 15.

He had written, “I hear the aptly named Goodluck Jonathan, the former President of oil-rich Nigeria, has bought a 12,000 square foot house on the ultra-expensive and well protected St George’s Hill estate in Weybridge, Surrey.

“I’m sure he gained his wealth legitimately but these houses are £10-£15million a pop, so, perhaps the ex-President could explain where his money came from as he has been at the forefront of the fight against his country’s corruption. Surely, it can’t all have been good luck.”

But reacting in a statement issued by his media aide, Mr. Ikechukwu Eze, Jonathan denied the report, insisting that he does not have any property or accounts outside Nigeria.

The statement readS in part, “Nothing could be further from the truth. Dr. Goodluck Jonathan takes pride in the fact that he does not have any property or accounts outside Nigeria. He stated this publicly while in office and his commitment to Nigeria’s economy remains total even after he left power.

“As the Nigerian President who signed the Freedom of Information bill into law, Dr. Jonathan is well aware that the United Kingdom is a nation with good record keeping at county and national levels and as such, it will not take a serious and responsible media long to verify ownership of property before rushing to the press with potentially libellous publications.

“It is hoped that this publication will correct its error and do a retraction and that other media will likewise follow up on this story to put the lie to the details it contains.”

Jonathan's £15million Mansion In United Kingdom EXPOSED By British Newspaper

Jonathan's £15million Mansion In United Kingdom EXPOSED
The immediate past President Goodluck Jonathan has been alleged to have acquired a mansion in the United Kingdon that worths £15million, Kelvin Mackenzie, a Journalist with The Sun Uk Newspaper reported yesterday on page 15.

The mansion was said to be located at St George’s Hill estate in Weybridge, Surrey in the United Kingdom.

Jonathan's ministers and virtually all that have worked with him except few have been under severe probe of the Economic and Financial Crime Commission, EFCC, since President Muhammadu Buhari took over. Several billion and millions of Naira and United States dollar have been recovered.

The UK's The Sun Tabloid author of the report queried the source of the money by which the ex-president of Nigeria bough such an expensive building.
"I HEAR the aptly named Goodluck Jonathan, the former president of oil-rich Nigeria, has bought a 12,000 square foot house on the ultra-expensive and well protected St George’s Hill estate in Weybridge, Surrey."
"I’m sure he gained his wealth legitimately but these houses are £10-£15million a pop, so perhaps the ex-president could explain where his money came from as he has been at the forefront of the fight against his country’s corruption."
'Surely it can’t all have been good luck." The Newspaper was quoted to have said.

The paper put the market price for such houses in the area as being between £10-£15million (about N4.3bn), a staggering figure that may well surpass the cumulative earnings of the former president while in office.

Jonathan has been many times accused of leading a most profligate administration. A large number of top officials who served under his government are presently being probed by anti-graft agency, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

A number of former ministers and aides who served with the Jonathan administration were mentioned as being among those who returned looted funds to the Nigerian government between May 29, 2015 when Jonathan left office and May 25, 2016.

No reactions have been issued yet by the former president or his camp, to the story published by The Sun.

Names Of Army Generals, SACKED By Buhari REVEALED, See List; Reports Say They're Pro-Jonathan

The identities of some of the about 200 senior officers retired from the Nigerian Army on Friday have been made public.

Among them are aide de camp (ADC) to former president Goodluck Jonathan, and the late president Musa Yar’Adua.

Many of those who had no inkling of their fate as at Friday morning are said to still be in shock, even as it was gathered that some got to know of the development via text messages sent to their mobile phones.

Even as there have been allegations of ethnic and religious cleansing n the exercise, the army reminded that some officers have already been arraigned in court by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

It therefore, warned that “People should therefore not read this out of context., adding that “The military must remain apolitical and professional at all times”.

A good number of those retired are said to be those that held operational positions like Brigade Commanders, Commanding Officers and other sensitive positions during the 2015 general elections, as well as those that participated in the war against terror, now christened ‘Operation Lafiya Dole’.

BREAKING:Buhari Sets To Appoint Jonathan Niger Delta Envoy After London Secret Deal Struck

BREAKING:Buhari Sets To Appoint Jonathan Niger Delta Envoy After London Secret Deal Struck

Barring last minute change, President Muhammadu Buhari will soon name his immediate predecessor, former President Goodluck Jonathan as the Federal Government envoy in latest move to quell the hostility in the region, News Punch has reliably informed.

Buhari's latest trip to London is not only for medical reasons but also there to find a way around the onslaught against oil installations in the Niger Delta, which has reduced oil output from 2.2 million barrels per day (bpd) to less than 1.3 million bpd, some senior government officials confided in our source, TheNiche Newspaper

That may lead to Buhari appointing former President Goodluck Jonathan his special envoy on Niger Delta affairs.

He has been conferring with Jonathan, representatives of international oil companies (IOCs), British government officials, and a faction of the Niger Delta Avengers (NDA) since he arrived London on June 6.

“For the record, Buhari is not coming to London for ear infection treatment but for a secret negotiation meeting with the Niger Delta Avengers,” an insider who is privy to the behind the scene arrangement told TheNiche on the condition of anonymity.

Jonathan met with Buhari in Aso Rock on June 3, and flew to London on June 6 to deliver a lecture organised by Bloomberg.

Buhari, who is expected into the country on Friday, June 17, may also announce the appointment of Jonathan as his special envoy on Niger Delta affairs, sources said.

They added that this proposition became crucial following the rejection of the peace deal by the NDA which was brokered by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and the governors of oil producing states last week.

The militants insisted in a tweet that “we are not negotiating with any committee. If the federal government is discussing with any group, they are doing that on their own.”

They announced in the same tweet that at 10: a.m. on Wednesday, June 8 they blew up an oil well (Well RMP 20) belonging to Chevron located 20 metres away from Dibi flow station in Warri North Council, Delta State.

It was learnt that the IOCs and the British government prevailed on Buhari to leverage on the goodwill of Jonathan in the Niger Delta and use him to stabilise things there, otherwise it would be bad business for everyone.

How Abuja intends to fund the N6.07 trillion 2016 budget remains tricky if it fails to resolve the impasse which has left the treasury broke.

My Style of Fighting Corruption While In Office - Jonathan

My Style of Fighting Corruption While In Office - Jonathan

Goodluck Jonathan
Ex-President Goodluck Jonathan yesterday defended his tenure, saying he fought corruption, but added that he is being investigated for graft by the Muhammadu Buhari administration.

He also denied leaving an empty treasury.

In an interview with Bloomberg Television in London, aired yesterday, Dr.Jonahan said the threats by the Niger Delta Avengers (NDA) will be peacefully resolved.

”I cannot say the country from the beginning of our independence, that there was no corruption; yes there has been corruption. I did very well also to curtail corruption.

“My approach to corruption was ‘don’t make money available for anyone to touch’.

“We made sure that area of fertiliser subsidies was cleaned up and the whole corruption there was removed.

“I tried to do the same in the oil industry, but the very people that were accusing us of corruption, were the same people frustrating it; it’s unfortunate.”

Asked if he was concerned that he would be investigated for corruption while in office, Jonathan said he was being investigated. “Obviously, I’m being investigated.”

Asked if he would be found guilty of corrupt practices, Jonathan said: “I wouldn’t want to make certain comments because, when a government is working, it’s not proper for immediate past presidents to make certain statements.

“I will allow the government to do the work it’s supposed to do.

“I wouldn’t want to make serious comments on that; it’s not proper.

“After all, these investigations, the whole stories will be properly chronicled.

“I’ve just left office and I should allow the President and his team to do what they believe is good for the country.”

Jonathan’s aides have come under heavy scrutiny since he left office, a situation he warned them of at the presidential dinner to mark the end of his tenure on May 28, 2015.

Officials of his party, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, have also been arrested and arraigned for corruption, but the anti-corruption agencies are yet to make public their findings from investigation on Jonathan’s involvement.

Dr. Jonathan expressed confidence that the authorities can reach an agreement with militants in the Niger Delta to stop their attacks that have slashed production.

“Definitely, it will be resolved; yes, government can always overrun restive movements and so on, but the Niger Delta is too delicate. The level of damage will be too much for the government to bear. We used dialogue,” he said.

Jonathan was vice-president when the government offered an amnesty and monthly stipends to militants to end years of instability, which had cut oil output. In February, Jonathan’s successor, President Muhammadu Buhari, reduced the stipends and cancelled security contracts with former military leaders.

A militant group known as Niger Delta Avengers has claimed attacks on facilities belonging to companies, including Chevron Corp., Royal Dutch Shell Plc and Agip Oil Co., causing Nigeria’s output to drop to an almost 30-year low of about 1.4 million barrels per day.

The violence has deepened the crisis facing Africa’s largest economy, which is already reeling from a slump in crude prices. Nigeria gets as much as two-thirds of its revenue and more than 90 percent of foreign income from oil.

Dr. Jonathan denied leaving the country’s finances “virtually empty”.

“There’s no way he would have inherited an empty Treasury,” Jonathan said , adding:  ”It’s not possible.”

Nigeria’s economy is contracting after a decline in the price of Brent by about half since the middle of 2014. Crude exports accounted in 2014 for as much as two-thirds of government revenue, with most state budgets relying on monthly handouts from the federal administration.

Finance Minister Mrs. Kemi Adeosun said last month that a long-delayed 2016 budget may not be fully implemented. The cash crunch has dampened optimism around the election of Buhari who campaigned on an anti-corruption platform, beating Jonathan in the first election victory by an opposition candidate in the nation’s history.

Nigerian authorities have gone after corrupt officials, recovering more than $500 million in cash so far. Investigations by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have brought top officials of Jonathan’s administration under scrutiny, such as his National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki, and then-spokesman of his political party Olisa Metuh.
