Protect Nigerians From Terrorists Or Resign, Youth Groups Tell PMB

By Dansu Peter

A coalition of youth groups in the country, under the umbrella body of Coalition Of Southern And Middle Belt Youth Leaders Assembly (COSMBYLA), has called on President Muhammadu Buhari, to either protect Nigerians from the attacks of terrorists or resign.

The group in a statement in Abuja, signed by Shittu Waheed, Coordinator, South West Youth Leaders Forum, Tito Zuokumor, President
South South youth Forum, Hon. Goodluck Ibem, President General,
Coalition of South-East Youth Leaders, COSEYL and Terrence Kuanum  President
Benue Youth Foruma and Coodinator, Forum of Middle Belt Youth Presidents, the group said rather than attacking Governor Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue state, the President should concentrate on governance and alleviate the pains of the people.

According to the coalition,
Governor Samuel Ortom's only crime is calling on President Buhari to protect Nigerians and stop the killings by the Fulani herdsmen who are his kinsmen

''The primary responsibility of any government to its citizens is security of lives and property . Any President that cannot provide this primary responsibility has no business being in power.

''If Gov. Ortom and President Buhari are placed side by side for Nigerians to point at who has failed to fulfil his campaign promises, all fingers will be pointing at President Buhari and his cabinet.members

In 2015, President Buhari said he will completely eliminate corruption during his campaign but now, corruption has increased in the country. He said he will neutralize Boko Haram, if elected but what do we have now, Boko Haram terrorists have giving birth to other terrorists groups like ISWAP and others which have taken over the entire north including his home state Katsina.

''Again, in 2015, President Buhari said he will improve the economy by making the naira stronger in the international market but has failed woefully. Now naira is N560 naira per dollar as against N160 per dollar in 2015 when he took over power. The list of the President's failed promises are endless which time will not permit us to say.''

By Dansu Peter

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu had performed creditably well and beyond expectations in all areas for the betterment of Lagos State since 2019.

An analyst, Abubakar Yusuf said the introduction of T-H-E-M-E-S among many other programs of his administration gave credence to his return to Marina house in Lagos in 2023.

He said public institutions from Education, Health, Agriculture, Housing, provision of water , roads and infrastructural developement that encompassed his developmental template had being given the attention it deserved.

Schools and Hospitals that were hitherto neglected in Lagos state can now compete favourably with private and foreign medical outfits with adequate medical attention.

Special attention to Health and health related matters amidst COVID-19, with provision of vaccine for over 2M Lagosians among other non pharmaceutical items, including gas stations had ameliorated the prevalent of the global scourge from its first to the fourth wave recently concluded in Lagos.

Inspite the negative consequences of Endsars, Sanwo-Olu picked Lagos from the rags of the civil strife were trillions was lost to hoodlums and repositioned Lagos State for more dividends of democracy.

This will translate to the generation of trillions in 2022 ahead of billions generated in 2021, as the budget for 2022 runs into over N1trillion by Sanwolu's administration.

'This is in addition to repositioning of all the transport sectors from water, rail, and road transportation through construction of more BRT roads, BRT buses razed down during the Endsars crises, acquisition of more boats, and introduction of red and blue rail transport in Lagos in 2022 .'

Joy Edjeren speaks on the dynamic impacts of her Jesus Loves You/iCare Ministry

By Dansu Peter

Joy Edjeren debut into the evangelism
ministry is not only about winning souls for Christ but also about making impacts on the lives of those she came across.

With her Non- governmental organization, Jesus Loves You/iCare, Joy ensures that nobody come across her and remain hungry.

Edjeren said the organization usually does its best to ensure that people are well catered for.

Her entrance into the evangelism industry is not only to gain more souls for Heaven but also to fulfil God's plan on earth. This task has been made easy through her Jesus Loves You/iCare ministry. Indeed, testimonies abound to show that Joy is not only out save souls but support the downtrodden and less privileged persons in the society.

She said in 2016, she saw a story about a little boy that was burned alive because he was hungry and stole “garri” to eat.  Instead of forgetting what happened and continuing with life as usual, the Lord touched her heart to help those in need in any way she can. Her organization reached out and saw that little help makes a great impact in the lives of those in deep poverty in Nigeria. Since then, Joy now understands that you don’t have to be a millionaire to make a change in this world.

She said the Jesus loves You/iCare is a charity organization meeting the needs of those in deep poverty through donations.

She added that the  goal is to preach the Gospel, feed the poor, and to empower individuals towards attaining self-sustenance.

2023: I won't be Atiku's VP, Wike breaks silence, says power must shift

2023: I won't be Atiku's VP, Wike breaks silence, says power must shift

By Dansu Peter

“Please, discountenance anything you’re seeing and hearing; all those social media posts. The South will make a statement very soon. It is not about you’ll be vice president to this or that.”

The above was a quote credited to the Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, according to Punch Newspaper; contrary to viral social media post which say the governor has been picked by former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.

Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike yesterday insisted that it was the turn of the South to provide the party’s standard-bearer in the election, the Punch Newspaper report.

Wike, speaking to PDP stakeholders at the Government House in Port Harcourt yesterday, warned against undermining the interest of the South whenever the opposition party decides the choice of its presidential standard-bearer.

He added: “Nigerians will know that we are not joking. People take the South for granted, saying that they are not together. No problems. If we didn’t know yesterday, today, we know.

“We are assets. We are not a liability. When we say we are going to support the party, we support the party with everything we have. We are not in America where you do television campaigns.

“When we come out, we will choke them. They know it. So, everybody should relax, let the south do their homework and then they’ll make a proper statement.”

He said those planning to use money to overwhelm the internal democracy and buy off the ticket would be disappointed.

He said: “What is necessary is how the party must be cohesive, to make sure that the party gets it right.”

He criticised PDP Chieftain Dr. Raymond Dokpesi who is rooting for Atiku, saying: “With all due respect. If we follow the kind of statement that Dokpesi is making every day, by now, the party would have been destroyed. But, we say no.”

The governor said those calling for the PDP to jettison zoning of elective offices were doing that for selfish and personal interests that do not reflect the true spirit of federalism.

He added: “I stand on Southern Governors Forum decision on zoning. I was at the meeting where it was decided that zoning should come to the South and we took that decision together. I cannot go against that stand.”

According to him, it will be unfair for the presidential ticket to go to the North as the zone had produced the party chairman in the person of Senator Iyorcha Ayu.
