The Oye/Ikole federal constituency became lively as a House of Representatives hopeful, Prince Tayo Adebiyi gives out cash to assists the people of the area in their petty trades , while another selected set of people from the two constituencies was also given food items and books . The beneficiaries were selected from the 24 wards that made up the two constituencies .
The program aimed at reducing the rising poverty among the people and also a way to assist petty traders or those who can do business with small amount of money.
The deputy chairman of the party , Chief ! Mrs Kemisola Olaleye described the gesture as a way of telling Ekiti people that All Progressive Party has people oriented programmes that can take the people out of poverty and gives them self reliability. She however commended the initiator ,Prince Tayo Adebiyi whom she described as a worthy ambasador of Itaji Ekiti in Oye local government . However , Chief Kemisola Olaleye however call on other party stalwarts with one political ambition or the other to emulate Prince Tayo Adebiyi and join the party to mobilise members for the forthcoming elections .Also present at the event are, Chief Beatrice Adeleye ,an APC leader from Itaji Ekiti , all the 24 ward chairmen , women leaders and youth leaders .
The beneficiaries and other people at the event were visibly excited and prayed for the organiser of the program .
