Vandeikya/Konshisha Federal Constituency Representative, Rt. Hon. Mrs. Dorothy Mato on behalf of the good and transparent people of her constituency paid her last respect to one of Jechira's illustrious sons, late Brigadier General Stephen Gbehe Ikya (Rtd) who went to be with his ancestors some weeks ago and was buried in his hometown in Mbagbera, Vandeikya Local Government Area of Benue State on Saturday, April 28, 2018.
Rep Mato acknowledged the significant impact the late General made not just on Benue State but Nigeria at large during his active years in the Nigerian Military.
"This is a great loss to the people of the constituency, Benue State and indeed Nigeria. His stellar performance as the Sole Administrator of the defunct Federal Urban Mass Transit Agency cannot be easily forgotten.
"As officer and a gentleman, he wrote his name in the sands of time which posterity will forever remember. May his soul rest in peace", she said.
