Encomium as Badagry LG boss, Onilude empowers artisans, traders, widows and the aged

Many residents of Badagry Local Government have being pouring encomium on the the Council boss, Hon. Teliat Onilude over what they described as a kind gesture from the Chairman for empowering many in his maiden quarterly empowerment program. 

According to a press release by Mr. Mautin Ashe,  a Public Enlightenment Officer Of The Executive Chairman, Badagry Local Government; widows, artisans, aged among others are the latest beneficiaries of the empowerment program of the present local government administration. 

The statement said, about 25 individuals benefitted from the program.

Onilude holds quarterly social welfare program in Badagry. 

 Since the beginning of Hon Onilude's adminstration as the executive chairman of Badagry Local Government, Farmers , Traders, Artisans, Aged, Widows and Senoir citizens within the Council area have been having good smiles on their faces and experiencing some psychological balance as they are receiving financial support to meet up with their basic needs from the council quarterly.

Today quarterly social welfare scheme was hosted at the council Secretariat with about 25 beneficiaries from across Badagry community, receiving the sum of fifty thousand cash (#50,000).

The council boss made it known in his speech that the scheme was borne out of his desire to fulfill his promises to them during his electioneering campaign in 2017 and highlighted  some of the challenges faced by all the beneficiaries.

“Some of the beneficiaries are truly weak , voiceless and lonely in our society and have limited Power to embark on economic activities and personal pursuits. This was made Known to us during our campaign by some of the beneficiaries, and as promised, In fulfilling the promise, we have decided to be giving some of them stipends as financial support to  meet up with their basic needs quarterly” said by *Hon Onilude.

The Supervisor For Women Affairs And Poverty Alleviation (WAPA) *Hon Risikat Hassan Padonu* disclosed that the process of selecting beneficiaries was based on Community recommendation by leaders across Badagry Community without any sentiment.

Hon Onilude advised beneficiaries to make use of the financial support judiciously and that they will witness more of this program in life.

“We want to assure members of the community that this laudable program will continue to take place quarterly to reach out to more people in Badagry Community” said by *Supervisor For WAPA , Hon Risikat Hassan Padonu*

Beneficiaries thanked the council boss, *Hon Onilude* , for his Support for a greater Badagry and prayed for him and his team for more success.

Fatai Shokunbi (President BACCIMA), Hon. Nuatin Genesis Williams (From Sole Admin, Badagry West), members of the Apex Leaders Forum, Comr. Yewhenu Abiodun Omoh (NYCN Coordinator) and many others.
