In press communiques issued to the newsmem by Barrister John Alibor and Barrister Pedro Edafe Oharis inrespectively said,
" The Agbarha-Otor Kingdom in Ughelli North LGA of Delta State has two quarters to wit: Onah and Uhrude from time immemorial"
" The Executive positions of the Agbarha Impoverment Union (AIU) are normally zoned among these two quarters (Onah and Uhrude). These two quarters are autonomous as regards to the selection/Election of any interested persons to the various Executive positions zoned to them",
Saying, It has never been the duty of the king to appoint, select or elect any person to fill any of the executive positions in Agbarha Impoverment Union (AIU).
"The autonomous position of the two quarters (Onah and Uhrude) has always been followed from time immemorial to avoid crisis",. That, the immediate past President-General of Agbarha Improvement Union (A.I.U), Late Chief (Dr.) John Ibrighademor was elected solely by the people of Onah Quarters in accordance with the zoning formula as provided by the constitution of the Agbarha improvement Union (A.I.U) without any interference by the people of Uhrude Quarters neither the King (HRM Richard Oghenevwogaga Ebelle, Okorefe 1 the Ovie of Agbarha-Otor Kingdom)"
Maintaining, while the people of Onah Quarters are yet to sit to select, elect and appoint another viable interested member of Onah Quarters to fill the vacuum left by Late Chief (Dr.) John Ibrighademor, as they are still in their mourning state, we were dismay with different posts seen on various platforms of social media showing that HRM Richard Oghenevwogaga Ebelle, Okorofe 1, the Ovie of Agbarha-Otor Kingdom has unilaterally purported appointed one Mr. Austin Ejenavi as the purported President-General of Agbarha Improvement Union (AIU) to impose us illegally.
legal adviser of Elders fourm of thehe people of Onah Quarters vehemently condemned the selection/ purported appointment of Mr. Austin Ejenavi as the President-General of Agbarha Improvement Union (AIU) for the following reasons:
"That,the appointment, selection or election of any person to fill the vacuum left by Late Chief (Dr.) John Ibrighademor is the sole right, responsibility and duty of Onah Quarters, the position having been zoned to Onah Quarters".
"That the king (HRM. Richard Oghenevwogag Okorefe I, the Ovie of Agbarha –Otor Kingdom, have no right to elect, select or appoint any person to fill that vacant position as President-General of Agbarha Improvement Union (AIU)".
"That while the people of Onah Quarters will always respect constituted authorities and they will nevertheless, resist any act of any authority that is intended to rubbish the autonomous and integrity of the people of Onah that will lead to crisis in Agbarha–Otor Kingdom"
" To avoid any form of crisis, HRM Richard Oghenevwogaga Ebelle, Okorofe 1, the Ovie of Agbarha-Otor Kingdom is herein by this press release, advise to withdraw the appointment of one Mr. Austin Ejenavi as the purported President-General of Agbarha Improvement Union (AIU) without any further delay"
