A 2023 House of Representatives aspirant under the auspices of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, Prince Sesi Oluwaseun Whingan has said he would sponsor and support any bill at the National Assembly that promotes children's rights and eradicate child labour in Nigeria if privileged to be elected as member, to represent Badagry Federal Constituency by 2023.
The young philanthropist who is the sole proprietor and sponsor of a renown Non-profit organization in Badagry, the Sesi Whingan Foundation made this disclosure in goodwill message to commemorate the Children Day celebrated worldwide.
Like the Holy Books say, Prince Sesi said our children are our heritage, and as such, they should be guarded, protected, nurtured, trained and educated to actually be our heritage as entrenched in the Holy Books. He said if children rights to good life and education are not protected under the law of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, they might be subjected to series of abuses that will jeopardise their future.
The business mogul and philanthropist turned politician promised that if his dream to be elected as a member, Federal House of Representative for Badagry constituency comes to reality by 2023, he will prioritize, among others, the sponsorship and support of bills that will protect and promote child rights to good life (welfare), free education; and bills to eradicate child labour and molestation.
He, however urged parents to ensure they give the best of trainings, nurture, guidance and education to all the children, if we actually want them to be our heritage as proclaimed by the holy books.
