Alia Reiterates Commitment To End Insecurity In Sankera

The Executive Governor of Benue State, Rev Fr Dr Hyacinth Iormem Alia has reiterated his commitment to end insecurity in Sankera geopolitical axis of Benue State 

The Governor made this known Sunday, June 25, 2023 while speaking at a Thanksgiving Service and Reception in honour of the House of Representatives Member for Katsina -Ala, Ukum and Logo Federal Constituency, Hon. Prince Solomon Wombo at NKST Church, Wombo in Katsina -Ala Local Government Area of Benue State.

He said he will soon appoint security advisor who will liaise with opinion leaders, traditional rulers, and the youth to find lasting solution to the problem of insecurity in the area.

The Governor, however, called on parents and traditional rulers to talk to their children and teach them the right thing to do, explaining that it's obligatory for parents to instill discipline in their children to help them grow and become worthy members of their communities.

He again warned against indiscriminate falling of trees and illegal road blocks mounted by unknown persons to collect illegal fee from transporters.

Governor Hyacinth Alia thanked the entire people of Sankera for the massive votes they gave him during elections, and promised to stay true to his promises to them during campaigns.

On his part, Hon. Prince Solomon Wombo thanked the governor for honouring his invitation and pledged the unflinching loyalty of the entire people of Sankera to his administration.

He described Governor Alia's presence at the Thanksgiving Service as a major honour just as he promised to represent Katsina -Ala, Ukum, and Logo in truth and fairness.

Others who spoke at the event include  wife of the Speaker, Hon. (Mrs) Cynthia Aondona Dajoh, Sen. Emmanuel Memga Udende who was represented by  Barr. Kachina, Chief of Staff to the Governor, Rt. Hon. Paul ShinyĆ“ Biam, Deputy Speaker, Hon. (Mrs) Lamin Danladi, and Hon.Jonathan Agbide.
