At the funeral of Hon. Mary Yisa, the President General of Kunav United Development Association, KUDA, Deacon Emmanuel Tor Yaji appealed to the Kunav sons and daughters who were offended at his speech at a burial in Mbayongo that, he is not a violent person, he loves peace dearly and has contributed towards lasting peace between Mbaduku and Cross River.He stated that he was not meant to hurt anybody. What he meant was the Governor, Rev. Fr. Dr Hyacinth Iormem Alia is performing excellently well. So, there is no need to be fighting to remove him in office.
In this bid, as there are many ways of beating people in Tiv context, if any Kunav son or daughter contests election with the Governor and is not given the mandate as expected, it is beating. So, no one should consider his former speech as intended to cause violence and unrest upon other contestants.
