Nigerian Veterinary Medical Association (NVMA) Visits The Director General, NPC

The Nigerian Veterinary Medical Association (NVMA) paid a courtesy visit to the Director General of the National Productivity Centre, Dr Nasir Olaitan Raji-Mustapha, on Wednesday, 17th April 2024. The meeting was held as part of the preparations for the upcoming World Veterinary Day (VAD) 2024, an annual event that celebrates the dedication and hard work of veterinarians in safeguarding animal welfare.

During the visit, the NVMA members expressed their appreciation for the Director General's steadfast support of the Association and his significant contributions to the veterinary profession. They commended Dr Nasir Olaitan Raji-Mustapha for his role as a key figure in advancing the noble profession of veterinary medicine.

The discussion centered around this year's World Veterinary Day, scheduled to be observed on April 27th, 2024, under the theme "Veterinarians are Essential Health Workers." The group deliberated on the significance of this theme in highlighting the crucial role that veterinarians play in ensuring the health and well-being of both animals and humans.

In his address to the delegation, the Director General shared insights on productivity and its relevance to the economy, emphasizing the importance of efficiency and effectiveness in delivering services.

Among the attendees were Professor Enem Simon Ikechukwu, Chairman of the World Veterinary Day (WVD) / VAD Committee, and Dr Chinna Joe Iniobe, Chairperson of the NVMA Abuja chapter, alongside other distinguished members of the association.
