Top secret for Governor Alia
The Chairman,
Jechira Area Traditional Council(JATC),
Dear Chairman,
LETTER OF CONDOLENCE ON THE PASSING OF HIS ROYAL HIGHNESS, CHIEF THOMAS TULE JAM GBINDE
With a heart weighed down by grief, I write to extend my deepest condolences to the Jechira Area Traditional Council on the passing of His Royal Highness, Chief Thomas Tule Jam Gbinde.
As a son of Jechira, this loss is deeply personal to me. His Royal Highness was a shining example of integrity, wisdom, and the highest ideals of Tiv culture and values. He was a true custodian of our heritage and a beacon of hope and uprightness in a time when such qualities are fast becoming rare.
The Ikyor Area Traditional Council, the entire Jechira land, and the Tiv Traditional Council have lost a pillar of stability and a voice of reason. His absence leaves a vacuum that will not be easily filled.
While we mourn his departure, we also celebrate a life well spent in service to the people, a life that inspired so many, including myself. I personally condole with his immediate family, the Ikyor and Jechira Traditional Councils, and all those who were privileged to know him.
I pray that the Almighty God will grant His Royal Highness eternal rest in the highest realms and give all of us the fortitude to bear this irreplaceable loss.
Please accept my sincere condolences and assurance of my continued solidarity with Jechira in this moment of collective grief.
Yours in sorrow,
Stephen NUMBEVE
