This is to kindly inform Ushongo indigenes of Benue State who have recently been bashing the Chairman of the council emphasising that his administration is bereft of physical infrastructure development that it is totally not true. The LG under the Adzu led administration is funding a road construction spanning from Ushongo town - Igbôôr - Hagher - Gbem in conjunction with the Guda led administration of Vandeikya LG. The road project's COUNTERPART FUNDING is by the Benue state government.
Counterpart funding in the context of a project, means that two parties (often a donor and a recipient government) agree to share the cost of a project. The donor provides some funding, and the recipient government contributes the remaining funds (the counterpart funding). This collaborative approach is often used in development projects to promote ownership and sustainability.
Bursary and health palliative of over 6.5 million expended to assist different categories of students from secondary to tertiary institutions ranging from seminarians, medical students, law students etc. People with health challenges have received treatment at primary health care centres in Ushongo and the General hospital Lessel as you may find out.
Party funding as party groups are always received and entertained accordingly fostering strong relationships within party ranks. Timely and constant provision of stomach infrastructure to deserving people as well as agricultural palliative to aid farmers go to farm. Security issues receive timely intervention. The chairman is one amongst those who are in constant touch with the masses. Always at burials, church programmes, party events, cooperative societies friendly. He is available and accessible, humble, easy going, friendly, takes responsibility, listens and generally at home with his people as they are at home with him too. If you doubt it, visit Ushongo and make findings for yourself. Adzu is on ground, he was, has been and will always be on ground. Doing local businessess with the local people.
