The traditional council of Mbawar in Konshisha Local Government Council of Benue State on Saturday, 27th July, 2025 bestowed their blessing on Engr. Japheth Terlumum Igbogo.
Igbogo on Friday, 25th July, 2025 formalized his political journey before meeting his traditional council by informing and seeking blessings from his immediate community of Mbaimo, Mbawar in Konshisha, and on Saturday, 26th July, 2025, met with his extended community of Mbaimo for the same reason.
After informing and receiving blessings from them, he proceeded to the traditional council for more blessings.
At the traditional council, Tyoor Mbawar, Chief Tony Yese welcomed Igbogo and appreciated the good work he is doing for the people of Mbaimo, Mbawar and Konshisha by extension.
Igbogo was extremely grateful for honouring him and expressed his intention to contest for member, representing Konshisha Constituency in the Benue State House of Assembly, BSHOA in the 2027 general election. He said he appealed to them he would be coming so that he will receive their blessing to pursue his political aspirations.
He said he has the quest to bring development to the people of Konshisha in representative capacity where he will have more resources at his disposal to do so.
Chief Tony made it clear that the traditional council is not a political institution and is non-partisan so it bestows its blessing on anyone who seek them; so they will bestow their blessing on Igbogo. He also advised him to always call on God Almighty so that He will direct him on the just path to follow in his political journey.
Chief Tony alongside Zaki Tersen Akooshi, Zaki Terhemen Pever, Zaki Paul Shor and Zaki Tyokase Harnongun bestowed their blessing on Igbogo to go and pursue his political aspirations without fear but shouldn't indulge in politics of violence.
Before the blessing was bestowed on Igbogo, Zaki Terhemen Pever of Mbaimo testified of the goodness of Igbogo to Mbaimo community. He said he is a living witness of the potent impact he has made on the lives of many people in Mbaimo.
In their separate speeches, Zaki Akooshi, Zaki Shor and Zaki Harnongun commended Igbogo for his gesture of goodwill. They acknowledged that the football competition he organised for Mbawar kindred reignited the spirit of oneness, and appreciated him also for the numerous scholarship awards he gave to children in Konshisha.
