TVT Unveils National Campaign Structure, Directorates for Tinubu’s 2027 Re-election Bid

The Tourism Vanguard for Tinubu (TVT) has officially unveiled its national organizational structure as part of a major push to promote tourism development, good governance and grassroots support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The movement, through its National Central Working Council led by Hon. Apata Samson Nunayon, announced the establishment of 15 strategic directorates alongside zonal coordinators across the six geopolitical zones and the Federal Capital Territory.

According to the statement released on Friday, the official unveiling of coordinators for the 36 states is scheduled for next Tuesday as part of efforts to deepen nationwide mobilization and strengthen the group’s operational reach across the country.

TVT described the development as a significant milestone in its expansion strategy and a demonstration of its commitment to building a strong national platform focused on tourism advocacy, economic development, youth inclusion, cultural promotion and support for President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

The newly unveiled leadership structure has Hon. Apata Samson Nunayon as National Coordinator, while Dr. Adeyinka Olarinmoye emerged as National Deputy Coordinator and Engr. K. A. Abolarin as National Secretary.

Other key appointments include Amb. Emmanuel Oyira as Director of Finance, Prof. Afolabi Isolaowa as Director of Strategy and Policy, Hon. Abiola Jagunlabi as Director of Government Relations, Amb. Mutiu Adepoju as Director of Sports, and Alhaji Oyeniran Apata as Director of Communication and Media.

The organization also appointed Dr. Abiodun Latifat Lasisi as Director of Welfare, Alhaji Gbenga Sunmonu as Director of Corporate Affairs, Alhaja Aolat Sule as Director of Diaspora Affairs, Mr. Precious Okonji as Director of Tourism Associations Mobilization and Coordination, Mr. Odewale Odeyemi as Director of Monitoring and Evaluation, and Comrade Benjamin Onileowo as Director of Youth Engagement.

Several other notable figures were also named into various national directorates to strengthen the movement’s administrative, media, tourism and stakeholder engagement framework.

As part of its regional coordination structure, TVT announced Hon. Atuloma Onyekachi as South East Zonal Coordinator, Mr. Talabi Jamiu for the South West, Dr. Piriye Kiyaramo for the South South, Mr. Bello Muhammed Gwagwada for the North East, Alhaji Isiya Salihu Shinkafi for the North West, Mr. Jonathan Justin Akem for the North Central, while Alhaji Ahmed Mohammed Sule will coordinate activities in the Federal Capital Territory.

Speaking on behalf of the National Central Working Council, Hon. Nunayon said the movement was established to use tourism as a strategic tool for national development while supporting leadership capable of repositioning Nigeria economically and socially.

He noted that tourism remains one of Nigeria’s most promising sectors with enormous potential for job creation, foreign investment, youth empowerment, cultural promotion and community development.

According to him, the movement strongly believes in continuity of governance and policy consistency under President Tinubu’s administration, stressing that the Renewed Hope Agenda is laying the foundation for long-term economic transformation and institutional reforms.

“The unveiling of these structures represents our determination to build a formidable nationwide movement that will not only mobilize support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s second-term ambition in 2027 but also advocate for tourism-driven development, youth inclusion, economic opportunities and good governance across the country,” the statement read.

TVT further disclosed that the zonal structures would serve as regional coordination hubs responsible for harmonizing activities between the national leadership and incoming state coordinators while ensuring effective grassroots penetration nationwide.

The movement added that beyond political mobilization, it remains committed to promoting Nigeria’s tourism potentials, peaceful coexistence, cultural heritage and national integration through advocacy and citizen engagement.

It also pledged to work closely with government agencies, tourism operators, development partners, private sector organizations and cultural stakeholders to reposition Nigeria as one of Africa’s leading tourism destinations.

According to the group, tourism can become a major contributor to the nation’s economy if supported with improved infrastructure, enhanced security, investment-friendly policies, destination marketing and stronger public-private collaboration.

The newly inaugurated structures, the statement added, will immediately begin consultations, stakeholder engagements, awareness campaigns, community outreaches and grassroots mobilization activities across the federation.

Observers believe the emergence of TVT reflects the growing influence of organized grassroots movements in shaping political participation and public engagement ahead of the 2027 elections.

For supporters of the movement, TVT represents a strategic blend of tourism advocacy, civic participation, youth mobilization and support for continuity in governance under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
